What is Alt Text?

Text describing an image's content, used by screen readers and search engines when the image can't be displayed.

Alt text serves two audiences: accessibility (screen readers read it aloud to blind users) and SEO (search engines use it to understand what an image depicts). Write alt text describing the image's content accurately — don't keyword-stuff. For purely decorative images, use `alt=""` (empty alt) to signal screen readers to skip it. InBuild's AI generation includes meaningful alt text on every Image node it creates; the editor lets you edit alt text per image via the Properties panel.
