Google Search Console (GSC) is the single most important SEO tool — and it's free. After verifying your domain, GSC shows: (1) which search queries impressed and clicked through to your site (the Performance report), (2) which pages are indexed and which aren't, with reasons (the Coverage report), (3) Core Web Vitals scores from real users (Page Experience), (4) any manual penalties or security issues (Manual Actions, Security Issues), (5) sitemap submission and crawl status. Verify your domain via DNS TXT record or HTML file upload. Submit your sitemap.xml under Sitemaps. The Performance report is the highest-leverage section — you can see exact queries you rank for, the position, impressions, and clicks. Filter to find queries at position 5-15 (page 1-2) that need a content boost to reach top 3.
