What is Conversion Rate?

The percentage of visitors who complete a desired action — signing up, buying, downloading — out of total visitors.

Conversion rate is the most direct measure of whether a landing page is working. A 2% conversion rate on a SaaS signup page is roughly average; 5%+ is great; below 1% means something is wrong (mismatch with traffic source, weak headline, friction in the form, no social proof, broken pricing). Optimizing conversion rate is usually higher-leverage than driving more traffic — doubling rate is the same as doubling traffic, and far cheaper. InBuild's generated landing pages start with the patterns that convert: tight hero copy, social proof above the fold, scannable feature blocks, friction-free email capture.
